Ok, so we haven’t been knocking down the miles the last couple of days. There’s just too much to see in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We started the day cycling to Jewel Cave National Monument, but realized that we would spend over 4 hrs waiting for and going though the tour. So we passed and headed through the Custer State Park, around the wildlife loop, and ended the day at Mount Rushmore. We had been set up not to expect much ( in contrast to Crazy House) but we were pleasantly surprised. A quick visit to the National Presidential Wax Museum and off to our 2 (max) star suite at the Presidents View Resort. It did boast a view of Rushmore, which they lit up for us at night, but had horrible canned music that didn’t shut off until 11:00 p.m. Don’t stay in Keystone. It is just awful! Tomorrow, we will start riding hard again through he Badlands and eastward.
