There’s a storm coming and that is supposed to cover the entire northeast. Not knowing how early the rain would start, we set the alarm and got out early. We crossed into Vermont and continued east. We went through our first covered bridge. Rochester, VT was a cute town with B&Bs and lots of restaurants but we had to continue on to stay ahead of the storm. We were and then we weren’t! We packed it in at Royalton, VT and drove a few miles off or our route to the nearby town of Woodstock. I have always wanted to visit Woodstock. However, it seems there is a Woodstock in Vermont, another in New Hampshire, and also the famous one in New York. We are definitely in the wrong one, but it was worth the drive. We got a room on a river and had great Caribbean dinner. Tomorrow should be clear. We will have to drive a few miles back up to our route. We have ridden over 5500 miles and have less than 300 miles to go!
