We awoke to rain so we just rolled over and snoozed until it stopped around 10:00. We continued NE along Lake Ontario’s coastline until Port Ontario where we headed east through the Adirondack Mountains. We’re starting to get some climbing in. We realized we’re getting a little soft. We ended in Boonville, but it took almost an hour to find on a place to stay. We ditched the motel that looked like a mortuary and landed in the best B&B we’ve stayed in so far. It was a completely refurbished 17th century home on a working farm. Quite grand and not “frilly”. We were greeted by the family’s dogs. Craig and his family couldn’t have been more hospitable. We loved it!
