One thing we’ve discovered is that in this area, if you find a place to sleep, you should stop. Definitely not a hotel on every corner. We left Fingal and headed East through many cute little towns and ports. The cool thing about this route was that there was variety. Unlike some areas that looked the same for hundreds of miles, this area changed constantly. Farms, trees, towns, lake views, orchards, it just kept on changing. We decided to stay in Port Dover because I asked Diane to find a lunch stop. She found one, a good one, in a cute beach town that had rooms. We stayed in a B&B and continued to work on the site on the porch. We ate both lunch and dinner at the same restaurant 211 Main Street. It was fantastic, especially since it had only been open for 6 weeks.

A strange place to find a submarine

The entertaining thing about todays ride is the constant changes of what we’re cycling through. Fields, farms, lakes, harbors, communities and Cherry trees.

We have basically been following this trail since we got into Canada. We highly recommend it! Very little traffic and great scenery.

Really, is there THIS much money here to build a house like this?

What started as lunch resulted in us staying here in Port Dover and having dinner at the same restaurant.
