We woke up to thunder and rain. We thought it was over and started south but the heavy rain was not to be avoided. I found shelter just in time at the Petroskey Brewery and waited for Diane to come back to me. Once the rain abated, we rode to Charlevoix, MI and got a great room on the Round Lake. Not a good riding day but the Edgewater Inn will be our home while we update our website and weather out the storms.

Leaving Harbor Springs and heading into a squall. I’m not sure how this day will go.

Just as the rain started to come down hard, shelter, otherwise known as Petroskey Brewery, suddenly appeared.
-
The clouds parted and it was so hot that the trails were literally like a sauna.

We made it as far as Charlevoix, MI but this is a cute harbor town and we got a room with this view off our porch.

The draw bridge was constant entertainment. It links Lake Michigan to through Round Lake and into Lake Charlevoix.
