After another great breakfast, including a yummy frittata, we said goodbye to our hosts at Embracing Pines B&B. Today we’re headed to Duluth, MN and our first view of the Great Lakes. The ride was beautiful but we really couldn’t stop because of the flies. Thus, there are very few pictures. We were told Duluth was like a mini San Francisco. The town is very cool. However, the entire area around our hotel was experiencing a power outage, so most of the restaurants were closed. No problem, we just took a walk and ended up having pizza delivered and hanging out on our balcony.

Today’s first history lesson. Lake Superior. It kind of looks like a hand pointing “Go West.”

Even the most Brilliant ideas sometimes fail.

Once at the hotel, the electricity was out so it took an hour or more to check in. It gave us time to explore the city.
