We awoke early and drove over to Old Faithful and walked around the geyser garden waiting for the big show. We drove back to the Lake Hotel and started cycling from where we left off yesterday. We saw the upper and lower falls, the grand canyon area, and tower falls. We were excited at the first bison we saw but didn’t realize that they are like cows here. Knowing Diane would freak cycling so close to the enormous animals, I rode through the herds. They are everywhere, including the roads. I had to negotiate with one to finally let me pass. Continuing out the North East gate we ended the day in the quaint town of Cooke City, MT., watched game 6 of the NBA finals and caught up on the site. Tomorrow we will go over the 2000 mile mark for the trip!

Same Geyser. Far and above the best one. Worth the walk!

Just past the bear. A particularly blue volcanic pool.

A little kid spotted this Elk just before we rode into Upper Falls. It created quite the traffic jam.
